Meet The Mercer Home Group
Stephen and Maria worked in luxury hospitality over a decade before being introduced to Real Estate. Customers of this industry are not staying in those hotels because they need a room for the night but for the experience. Hotel teams would go above and beyond to make their stay comfortable and make them feel they are the most important person in the building. No request can ever be too small or too big, employees in all departments work relentlessly to make it happen. Over 10 years making their way up working for such companies they learned some valuable lessons. They quickly understood that educating, teaching and leading by example were the most valuable tools to build a successful business. If you invest your time in training, assisting and caring for your employees they will care for your business the way you would. They learned that a lifetime relationship with a guest is far more valuable than a big tip. They started believing in people and the power of working together more than they thought was possible. With that in mind and when faced with a change of career they knew they couldn’t give up the service industry.
They decided to jump into real estate together. First working for different brokerages, they wanted to experience separate environments and learn from a different angle. They found mentors and learned from the best pretty quickly. They both generated more sales and happy customers in their first year than most agents who have been doing it for years; it quickly became their new passion. They realized shortly after they didn’t have the freedom to care for their clients the way they aspired to. They didn’t want to just help people buy and sell homes, they wanted them to have “the experience” they had offered in luxury hotels all these years. That is when they decided to start their own team, the Mercer Home Group.
